Here's to a great school year!
Here's to a great school year! We in Fraser Clan are looking forward to meeting our students tomorrow!
Meet Mrs. Patenaude - Intensive Functional Academics Teacher
I am Kara Patenaude, Intensive Functional Academics for BEMS. This is my 4th year in the district, as well as my 4th year in southern Maine. I graduated many years ago from Hampden Academy, KVCC, and UMF. I ran a car rental agency at the Bangor Airport before deciding to change careers. I have two high schoolers of my own in the district. We live in Hollis with my husband, dog Googie, and cat Lexi. Outside of school, I enjoy camping, and since I am on the road traveling when I’m not at school, I enjoy a good audiobook to help with the ride.
Yearbooks on Sale!
You can go ahead and order your yearbook now! If you order by 9/27/19, the cost will only be $21.00 - after that, the cost will be $25.00. You can order though Jostens Yearbook Website, or by calling 1-877-767-5217.

Meet Mrs. Chamberland - Fraser Resource Room Teacher
We're very happy to have Mrs. Chamberland join our team us our Resource Room teacher. Here is a little something about her:
I have been a Special Education Teacher teaching in the district for 5 years, the last 3 years have been at Bonny Eagle Middle School. All 3 years have been in 7th grade with Argyll Clan, I am looking forward to a change and being in the 8th grade. This year I will service students in Fraser and all 8th graders in MacCallum Clan. I am proud to also live in the district and to be raising my family here. I have 2 boys who attend the high school, one is a junior and the other is a freshman. When not teaching, I enjoy watching my boys play soccer & lacrosse. I love the outdoors, cooking, the beach, gardening, and reading.
Meet Ms. Tremblay - Fraser's New Math Teacher!
We are super-excited to have Ms. Kayla Tremblay join Fraser Clan as our math teacher. Her love of math, combined with her experiences and enthusiasm make her a very welcomed addition!!
Here is what she has to say about herself:
Here is what she has to say about herself:
Hello!
My name is Kayla Tremblay and I am super excited to be joining the Fraser Clan
as the math teacher. Here’s a little bit about me. I graduated in 2018 from the
University of Maine at Farmington and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary
Education with a concentration in...MATH! While I was at UMF I student taught at
Mt. Blue Middle School in the eighth grade and actually got to take over my math
class for not just one week, but five weeks out of the sixteen that I was with the school.
Last year I was a fourth grade teacher in Biddeford teaching math and STEM! I also have been
working for the Saco Recreation program as a Director for the teen program and other
weekend events. Some of my hobbies are dancing, hiking trails, watching sports,
crafting, and spending time with friends. I live in Saco with my parents and two international
students from China who attend Thornton Academy. My sisters are both away at
college and my brother is a junior in high school.
Meet Mrs. Norton - Fraser LA Teacher
Welcome to Fraser Clan - I hope that everyone has an amazing 8th grade experience! I'm looking forward to my second year in 8th grade and to becoming better acquainted with some students and getting to know others. I have taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades - I have to say, 8th grade is definitely one of my favorites! I live in Gorham (until September 20th, when I move to Scarborough) with my husband and 13 year old golden retriever, Annie. Both of my sons went through MSAD 6, but both are now grown up and we're "empty nesters" (well, other than Annie!). In my free time I love to spend time with family, travel, cook, work out, run, golf, go to baseball games, and attend students' events. Don't ever hesitate to contact me with a question or concern (or just to relay something good that's going on!). Let's make this year a fantastic one!

Meet Mr. Christensen - Fraser's Social Studies Teacher
Meet Mr. Christensen!
My name is Joshua Christensen, and I am Bonny Eagle through and through. My mother was a teacher in the district for nearly 40 years and my grandmother was a 40 plus year teacher in the South Portland area. I graduated from BE in 2004, and after some time away at the University of Vermont getting my BA and Master's, I came home to find a teaching job and ended up back here, which has been awesome. I've taught in the Alternative Education program for six years and am excited about my second year teaching in Fraser Clan at BEMS. Music is one of my passions, and I play in a rock band that does shows all over Maine. You will likely hear me jamming to tunes with my team on a regular basis. -
