Earth Day - Wednesday, April 22nd

This was shared with me by Margaret Maxwell, an art teacher at BEHS.
Cool stuff!
Outing Club Rocks…
Celebrate Earth Day this week, Wednesday April 22nd.  Get out and rake, plant a garden. Sleep in a warm sleeping bag and comforter in a tent in your yard and make a fun camping staycation...make s'mores with peeps dipped in chocolate and graham crackers for fun and sing....and dance around the fire....have a fun time. At our faculty meeting when I mentioned that it was the 50th anniversary of Earth, Mr. Thomas jumped in and said, “ It is much older than that….". Well, I told him it is the recognition of Earth Day...we need to care for our planet.”  We chuckled. These are just suggestions......have a restful and fun week. Here is a site for the outdoor activities allowed in Maine during these difficult days...Have a good vacation week.

Easy-to-Make Soft Pretzels

So . . . I had made soup for dinner and I love soft pretzels, so I thought that I would whip up a batch to have with the soup.  Despite the fact that they're EXTREMELY unattractive, they're really good!  I didn't have bread flour, so I used all-purpose.  If you're bored and want to practice your baking skills, try making some!

Good Day to Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Looking for something to do on this rainy, dreary day?  Whip up a batch of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies (if you have the stuff in your pantry).  This recipe is amazing - I taste-tested FOUR this morning. . . . Good thing that ALL I ever wear lately is BLACK LEGGINGS. . . (the new "normal").  Have a great day!!

The Staff Is Missing the Students!

We're missing the kids; we want to be back at BEMS!  Stay safe, all!  BE Proud!

Info. About Yearbooks!

Good morning Scots!

Our yearbook club put a lot of time and effort into book design, photography, and promotion before we shifted to distance learning, and I want to make sure our sales can reflect their hard work. Usually, by this time in the year, most sales are cash in hand, and we actually typically sell HALF our books in the last two months of the school year.

Could you put up a quick reminder to students and parents on your websites, or in bulletins, that yearbooks are still available for sale? I have asked to have the following blurb put on our Facebook page, but if you would share the link, I'd really appreciate it.

We have made so many good memories this year at BEMS, and now we are making more from a distance. Remember this year forever with a yearbook! You can still order them online at the link below. Contact Mr. DeMaris at agdemaris@bonnyeagle.org with any questions.

Thanks so much,
Andrew DeMaris
