 2020-2021

Pathfinders Teams Now Organizing!

BEMS Pathfinders, an outdoor adventure program, is now accepting applications.

How do students apply? Students may express interest in joining a Pathfinders team by taking this survey.     Pathfinder Student Participation Survey

(Students must use their BEMS gmail address.) Prior to each Pathfinders season, students will be contacted by a group leader for participation. Space is limited as all of our teams are capped at 15.

Safety Measures:

  • As we are an adventure-based program, meetings will be held outside whenever possible.

  • Students will be required to have their masks with them at all times. Masks will be required while inside buildings. While outside and when physically distanced, there will be moments when students may remove their masks. This will be at the direction of the group leader only.

  • Students will supply their own snacks and water bottles. The sharing of tools and gear will be minimal.

  • Participants will need to complete the Daily Screening Form each day they attend.

Coaches will receive the clearance list before each session.

While we will not be able to continue our usual off-campus activities requiring bus travel, please know that some meetings may include activities within walking or biking distance of BEMS.

Meetings will be held after school for a period of 8-10 weeks. Teams will be created to match the BE and Scots schedules. Unlike sports teams, there will not be an option to attend all 4 days after school.  Meeting dates will be determined by the leaders and shared with parents before committing to the team.  Parents must provide transportation home at 4:00 PM.  Some scheduled activities may require a later pickup time.
